Vienna
Airport - The main airport for Vienna City
is about 12 miles from the centre of Vienna. It used
to be called Schwechat Airport but now is better known
as Vienna International Airport.
Flights from the UK (London, Manchester, etc) take
about two and a half hours making Vienna a most convenient
destination. Before booking your Flights to
Vienna, it is a good idea to check out the
options, airfares etc.
Once you arrive at Vienna, there are several alternative
means of public transport to whisk you to the centre
of the Vienna without delay. Information the City

THE VIENNA CITY AIRPORT TRAIN
The Vienna City Airport Train brings you non-stop
from Vienna International Airport to the centrally
situated City Air Terminal. It takes only 16 minutes.
The Vienna City Air Terminal is at Wien-Mitte next
to the Vienna Hilton Hotel. Wien Mitte links with
Vienna’s underground system, Vienna buses, Vienna
trams and of course taxis.
The Vienna City Airport Train has double-deck carriages
with spacious luggage racks and other facilities.

TRAIN SERVICE FROM VIENNA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Suburban trains depart Vienna Airport every 30 minutes
for the centre of Vienna. The cost (November 2004)
is €3 and it takes just over half an hour.
BUS SERVICE FROM VIENNA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Buses from Vienna International Airport go to Wien
Schwedenplatz, Wien Sudtiroler Platz, Sudbahnhof Wien,
and Westbahnhof. The cost in November 2004 is €6
and the bus takes about 20 minutes.
